Humane Education

The aim of  humane education is to develop sensitivity, empathy and compassion in people. These attributes apply in our relationships with both animals and each other. So do their opposites and the link between cruelty to animals and other forms of violence has been well researched. Humane education and violence prevention are inter-related and most sites listed here touch on both. Good children's sites are examples of humane education in action. If you know of other sites which should be included, click here to add the URL. All sites are reviewed before they are added.
