My first love is horses. I'm owned by Sid, a home-bred ten-year-old anglo-trakehner gelding with personality plus. The horse on the cover of How to Find the Perfect Place for Your Pony is Ike, Sid's eight-year-old anglo-arab brother. As you may have guessed, their mother is a thoroughbred mare. Lacey has spent her last few years as a broodmare, but will return home when she retires. My German shepherd, Persephone, and cat Ezzie round out the animal family at the moment.

I have taught riding and stable management to Pony Club members, other children and adults. Now operating as Acreage Equines in Strathcona County, east of Edmonton, I specialize in teaching recreational horse owners who keep their horses at home.
